About
FOR RACHEL RHOADES, TO BE IS TO TELL STORIES.
As a child she drew characters and maps and made up stories to tell her sisters. Before writing her first book, she created several indie film projects with fellow aspiring artists (which can be viewed on her YouTube channel Rhoadeside Productions). Perpetually torn between wanderlust and homesickness, she lives in her childhood hometown in Montana but has also journeyed all over Europe and Japan. Her day jobs include seven years of administrative assistance in the legal field, as an intern file clerk, legal assistant, paralegal, and now office manager. She still enjoys making films as a hobby. But after completing her first mystery novel, she’s hooked, and is pursuing a long-term career as an author.

Raynard - Echoing her favorite mystery author Josephine Tey, who wrote under a grandmother’s name; a family surname of Rachel’s own maman, from whom she received her love of words.
